Privacy & Cookies

Last updated: June 22, 2026

Worth the Test (worththetest.com) is a free, educational tool for reasoning about the statistics of medical screening. This page explains what data is — and is not — collected when you visit, and how cookies are used by our advertising partner.

Information this site collects

The tool itself requires no account and does not ask you for any personal information. Every calculation runs entirely in your browser; the numbers you enter into the sliders and inputs are never sent to or stored on a server. There is no login, no newsletter, and no contact form.

The site is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages, which, like most web hosts, may process standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the page and protect against abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Visit counts are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookieless: it sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not fingerprint you or track you across other sites.

The site's typography (the Inter and Fraunces typefaces) is self-hosted — the font files are served from this site itself, not from a third-party font CDN, so loading the page does not send your IP address to Google or any other font provider.

Advertising & cookies

This site is built to support ads served by Google AdSense, but advertising is not currently active: no ad code is loaded and no advertising cookies are set. The following describes how cookies would be used if and when ads are turned on:

For more detail on how Google handles data when you use sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

Advertising is not currently enabled on this site, so no advertising cookies are set. If personalized advertising is enabled in the future, visitors in regions that require consent will be asked through a consent message before any advertising cookies are set, and will be able to change or withdraw that choice at any time.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
